Chris Taylor Racing exists to take the headache out of going racing — so drivers can do what they came to do: drive fast.
Our story
We started Chris Taylor Racing with a simple idea: most people who want to go racing get stopped by everything around the driving — the trailer, the tools, the prep, the logistics. Take that away and the sport opens up.
Today we bring real wrench time, race craft and championship experience to every car that rolls out of our trailer. Whether it's a nervous first track day or a national title fight, we treat your weekend like it's our own — sorted cars, straight answers and a crew that's been there.
That's the Chris Taylor Racing difference, and it's why drivers keep coming back weekend after weekend.

Owner / Founder
Chris has honed his craft at the front of professional sports-car paddocks — racing and crewing in SRO TC America with respected programs including Skip Barber and CorkSport, alongside championship-winning Copeland Motorsports in GR Cup North America. Those years sharpened every detail of his approach from car setup and strategy to race-day execution — unparalleled expertise that shapes every car Chris Taylor Racing runs.
Behind the wheel, he's been a consistent front-runner in B-Spec for years, with the podiums and wins to prove it. The result is a rare combination: a true racer who also knows how to prep, manage and lead a team.
Crew Chief
A true pioneer of the class, Ed built one of the very first Spec Miatas — and went on to run his own front-running team, Gilfus Racing Enterprises (GRE). Throughout his years as an engine builder he turned out some of the most competitive Spec Miata motors in the paddock, and he brings that same keen analytical and engineering mind to the CTR tent. As crew chief, he keeps the cars fast, sorted and reliable across SCCA race weekends — turning wrenches, fine-tuning setups and making sure nothing is left to chance between sessions.
Lead Mechanic
As lead mechanic, Cody backs CTR with a pedigree that includes work as a high-performance automotive technician. His specialty is in-house precision fabrication: he machines custom parts on the CNC lathe and mill, letting CTR engineer solutions most club teams have to outsource. Methodical, meticulous and quick under pressure, he's the steady set of hands that keeps the fleet race-ready, weekend in and weekend out.
